Fellowship
Acts 2:42 tells us that, along with prayer, worship,
and learning, the early Christians engaged in a social life. The
Fellowship Committee recognizes that fellowship is a key
element in anyone's Christian life. We need to share in each other's
joys and sorrows if we are to be knit together as the Body of Christ.
Fellowship at the Church of the Good Shepherd takes
a variety of forms. We are happy to
note that, for many in the church, best friends are also members
of the congregation. We will be holding a quarterly "Praise
& Graze" fellowships -- see the newsletter for
specifics on whose house and when. We believe our activities must
be targeted to specific groups and needs, but we are also aware
that at times we must engage in activities that allow us all to
share our common life as the Body of Christ.
Coming
Up:
Installation for Fr.
Stan Burdock. Fr. Stan and Eileen have joined
Good Shepherd Anglican effective October 1, 2007. Details on his
installation into his new office coming soon!
We believe that God intended for his people to
enjoy life together and that even having fun can be an opportunity
for spiritual growth. The Fellowship Committee is chaired by Sharon
Weber.
